The official Doctor Who website have released details of an exciting new contest for fans to appear as an alien of their own creation in a specially written scene.

The competition is being held by the BBC’s Tonight’s the Night, a new show which will be hosted by Torchwood’s very own John Barrowman. The programme will unleash the talents of members of the public and allow them to peform them in professional venues.

The Doctor Who Alien Talent Search is looking for fans over the age of 18 to design their very own mature aliens with an original name, home planet and background story – and to design their creation with a home made alien outfit!

And the lucky winner will experience the chance of a lifetime, and will spend several hours on set filming their very own scene with a BBC crew.  The sketch will appear on Tonight’s the Night on BBC One in April/May 2009!
