Eve Myles announces pregnancy!

Eve Myles, the much-loved actress who portrays Gwen Cooper in Torchwood, has announced that she and her husband are expecting their first baby!
“I’ve wanted to do this for such a long time, but I kept getting job after job after job,” she said. ”I thought, if I put this off any more I’m going to be 65.”
She added: ”My partner and I decided this year was going to be the year. We were blessed that it happened so quickly and it’s the best thing that ever happened to me.”

Oh, I hope not. She was the viewer’s way into the series so I think it would be best to keep her around for a while longer, at least.
So was Rose Tyler for series one of doctor who but didnt stop the show when she left. They can do the same with torchwood. bring in a new colleague and tell a new outsider story. the show is bigger than one actress (even though i do like eve)
Mm… maybe I’m just surrendering to nostalgia. The other thing is that we’ve only just lost Tosh and Owen (sob)- it would be sad to leave Ianto and Jack on their own. Even if they do bring in Martha/Mickey/both. What are people’s thoughts on that?
