Five shiny new promotional images for Torchwood: Children of Earth have been released online.

The character shots were previously on show at last week’s preview of episode one which was held at the BFI Southbank in London, and depict the remaining members of the team – Jack, Gwen, Ianto and Rhys - in all their Torchwoody glory. You can see the pictures below:

Children of Earth will air on BBC One and BBC HD over one week next month. The mini-series rejoins Captain Jack, Gwen Cooper and Ianto Jones as they struggle to come to terms with the loss of their two closest friends, Toshiko Sato and Owen Harper. But they’ve got no time to grieve, because they’ve still got a job to do – and this time the team are faced with their fiercest threat to date, and one which will no doubt change the future of Torchwood, and the entire human race, forever. As they battling against the odds, is it too late to save mankind? They are coming – and Torchwood is ready!
