DVD artwork for Hamlet released

September 21st, 2009

hamlet-dvd-coverThe BBC have released the DVD artwork for its upcoming release of Hamlet by William Shakespeare, in which Tenth Doctor actor David Tennant stars as the protagonist!

Following its overwhelming success on stage last year, it was given the green light to be filmed out on location, and, to the delight of fans, over the summer, its original cast returned to produce a 180-minute televised version, which will transmit on BBC2 at the end of the year.

And it’ll be available to purchase on DVD from December 28th 2009, shortly after its television debut.

The drama, produced by Illuminations, also stars Patrick Stewart, returning as Claudius, and is due to air in Japan and America in early 2010.

You can now pre-order your copy of Hamlet on various online retailers. To buy or not to buy? That is the question…
