Didn’t really enjoy this episode. I thought it was quite weak and then the 10th Doctor getting so full of himself saying hes the timelord victorious and hes the boss of time; was a powerful moment but didn’t enjoy that part. Some good moments, but some bad moments quite a poor episode.

Dreary and dull. Another good explain of why RTD has to go. Don’t get me wrong, the special effects were breathtaking. Seriously though, was this any better than an average season episode? I mean, what really happened? There was no real story, other than a group faced with disaster, running around and screaming. And wasn’t that what we had inThe Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit. Seemed to me to be nearly a re-write!
And the ending, seriously, after centuries of “having fun”, would the Doctor really let it all go to his head? Na!

On another note, RTD “Going to be the scariest story ever”! Really? Like how? Nothing in it was really that scary. There are better examples in the early Tom Baker years.

Roll on Christmas for “The End Of TIme” (6 Words????) Is it going to be another let down or a really great ending?

FANTASTIC! 10/10 for sure, it had everything an episode should have. Fantastically intense, utterly terrifying, superbly produced, directed, acted, etc. AMAZING! I still haven’t recovered. Loving the End of Time trail too, pure magic. My fave bit, however was the Doctor turning mad with power at the end. Sooo creepy, great work DT.

Elaborating on my earlier, rather restricted comment of, “Terrifying”, my mother didn’t like this episode. She thought it was too scary. She runs a pre-school and kept muttering “I do not want my children watching this.”

What she found scary, however, was The Flood. And its minions. What I found terrifying was the Doctor’s… well, I want to call it madness. So I’m going to.

And because it scared my socks off, and had me clutching a pillow in fright (and I’m a “I-don’t-show-my-emotions” teenager), I’m rating this ep at 10/10. And Captain Adelaide Brooke was a jewel of a character.
