Happy birthday wishes go out today to actress Karen Gillan, who will be introduced to the world as the Eleventh Doctor’s companion, Amy Pond, when the long-awaited fifth series of Doctor Who hits our screens next Spring!

Gillan previously appeared as a soothsayer in the Series 4 story, The Fires of Pompeii, and you may also recognise her from Channel 4’s The Kevin Bishop Show, or her modelling work.
