Please join us in sending out your birthday best to actress Naoko Mori, who Torchwood fans will recognise for her portrayal of Toshiko Sato in Series 1 and 2 of Torchwood!

We were first introduced to the character in Series 1 of Doctor Who, Aliens of London, in 2005, but she was brought back as a Torchwood team member when the spin off launched in 2006. Toshiko was killed at the end of the second series, and it definitely hasn’t been the same since!

Mori is celebrating her 33th birthday today, and we hope she has a wonderful day! Cheers to you, Naoko!
