David ‘bewildered’ by Doctor Who fame

December 21st, 2009

david-black-newDavid Tennant has revealed that he still finds it hard to get his head around the amount of attention he has recieved over the past few years as a result of his starring role in Doctor Who.

“It’s sort of bewildering,” he told WalesOnline. “We always thought that when the honeymoon period was over things would settle down, but with every series it seems to get more and more attention.”

He continued: “Before, when I saw people who were famous, others would whisper and point and it would feel as though a very powerful individual had walked by. But once you are that person, it just feels scary. All the time.”

His final two-parter in role as the Tenth Doctor, The End of Time, begins this Friday (Christmas Day) at 6:00PM on BBC1/HD.
