Will Doctor Who reign supreme this Christmas?

master-wasteland-timeSky Bet have today published their final Christmas Day ratings odds, which show that EastEnders is currently the bookies’ favourite to attract the highest audience this year.

Coming in at a close second place is part one of The End of Time, which has odds of 7/4.

However, Sky Bet’s spokeswoman Helen Jacob has revealed that she wouldn’t be surprised if the first instalment of the Tenth Doctor’s regeneration two-parter manages to beat its soap rival, despite its odds of 4/6.

“EastEnders looks hard to beat this year but perennial favourite Doctor Who could just sneak it,” she said. Only time will tell…

    I watch Eastenders and Doctor Who, though I’d rather Doctor Who won the ratings battle. It’s the “beginning of the end” for the 10th Doctor, a one-off event, whereas Eastenders will keep going, no matter how good the Christmas episode is.
