Bill Nighy cast in Series 5
Earlier today, DigitalSpy confirmed that Bill Nighy has been cast to appear in the upcoming fifth series of Doctor Who!
The veteran actor, who is best known for his acclaimed roles in Love Actually and Pirates of the Caribbean, will be playing (highlight to reveal) ‘the curator of a Vincent van Gogh exhibition’ in the episode, rumoured to be episode 10 of the new series. It’s written by Richard Curtis and was filmed towards the end of last year.
“It was a real coup to get Bill Nighy in Doctor Who, especially in Richard Curtis’s amazing episode,” an insider exclusively told the website. ”Bill plays (highlight to reveal) a van Gogh expert with some similar fashion choices to the Doctor himself.”

He played Davy Jones in #2 Dead Man’s Chest (2006) and #3 At World’s End (2007).

Bill Nighy is an amazing actor. He was great in Underworld. Should have been the Doctor!
I love him, I think he is really great and cannot wait to see him in Who!
All I think of when I see him though is Whitey from Flushed Away! :D
