Matt Smith and Karen Gillan took a short break from filming the new series over the weekend to represent Doctor Who at the BBC Showcase in Brighton alongside its showrunner Steven Moffat!

The event, now in its 34th year, serves as a selling point for the BBC to interest worldwide buyers with their various programming. Gareth David-Lloyd, who played Ianto Jones in Series 1-3 of Torchwood, was also reportedly in attendance.

At the television market BBC Worldwide announced that they have signed a brand new deal with Sony Pictures Television to continue to broadcast Doctor Who, Torchwood and Primeval in countries across Central and Eastern Europe, including in Romania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Montenegro.
