More Series 5 rumours from The Daily Star
For those of you who are avid followers of the latest Series 5 production developments, you’ll be aware of the speculation surrounding Little Dorrit actor Arthur Darvill, who has on several occasions been spotted out on location filming alongside Matt Smith and Karen Gillan.
Today, The Daily Star have claimed that he’ll be portraying the character of Rory Williams, who just so happens to be Amy Pond’s fiancé! And that’s not all…
The report also suggests he’ll be joining his other half and the Eleventh Doctor for multiple episodes to join in their fight against vampires and Weeping Angels alike! Will his upgrade to companion status be third time lucky or will it be a case of three’s a crowd?
But there’s reportedly another shock in store for the time travelling trio towards the end of the series, in the form of a mysterious third new companion who will be ‘added into the mix’ in time for the dramatic finale.
“It’s a good job that police box is bigger on the inside than out,” a source told the newspaper. ”It’s going to be a tight squeeze in there this year!”

SM always said he liked to have more than one companion. I wouldn’t be surprised if a little of this were true.
I’ve been re-reading a couple of Moffat interviews in old issues of DWM. Even years ago he had very definite ideas about what he would do with DW. I think, because of his mighty input and love for the programme, the next series is going to be utterly amazing.
He always did have more than one companion, Rose and Jack, Mickey and Rose, Sally and Larry (?) so I wouldnt be surprised if this was true. Still apprihensive but looking forward to it!
Hopefully the other person joining The Doctor, Amy and Rory is “4.4/4.5 guest star”.
Just watched Torchwood: Reset – Dayum! I love Martha Jones. Can’t believe the flak some people gave Freema. She lights up the screen. Martha for S5 (cue people going “Nooooooooooooo!”
