Nominations for Saturn Awards 2010 revealed
The nominations for the 2010 Saturn Awards have been unveiled this morning, and both Doctor Who and Torchwood are featured in the shortlist!
Firstly, David Tennant is up for Best Actor in Television for his portrayal of the Tenth Doctor. He’s up against the likes of Matthew Fox and Josh Holloway, both from Lost, and True Blood’s Stephen Moyer.
Meanwhile, will Bernard Cribbins beat John Lithgow from Dexter and Leonard Nimoy from Fringe to the Best Guest Starring Role in Television for his peformance as Wilfred Mott in the Christmas specials, The End of Time?
Elsewhere, the 2009 Easter special, Planet of the Dead, and Torchwood Series 3, Children of Earth, are included in Best Television Presentation, as is The Tudors and Alice, and the DVD releases of both are up for the Best DVD Television Release gong alongside Lost: The Complete 5th Season, Primeval and Life on Mars: The Complete Series. Best of luck from us!
Founded by Dr. Donald A. Reed in 1972, the awards are presented annually by The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films to honour and celebrate sci-fi, fantasy and horror in film, TV and home video. Stay tuned for the latest!

Come on Bernard Cribbins! He was spectacular, particularly in that beautiful scene in the café, and obviously in the radiation booth. “Good-oh.”
Love that Bernard’s up against Leonard Nimoy (who is fantastic in Fringe, but no-one can beat Wilf). Hope Children of Earth wins the award for Best Television Presentation!
I hope David wins too. He has built the show up and is now *in some fans case* the most popular doctor there is. Come on David :D
