Saturday 3rd April – to be or not to be?
Yesterday we brought you the news that an updated version of the new Series 5 promo had confirmed the start date of the new series to be Saturday 3rd April, however it now appears that the broadcast details may not be set in stone after all!
Even though it’s a likely launch date, considering we already know it will begin over the Easter 2010 period, it is believed that, for whatever reason, the BBC transmitted the tweaked trailer by mistake.
They have since made no official announcements regarding the matter, so presumably it’ll be left unexplained.
We’d just like to apologize to all our visitors for posting the news as fact when it transpires that this may not be the case. We were just going from what we had been told and having seen the trailer ourselves we had no reason to doubt its reliablity. We’ll, of course, keep you updated as more news comes through!
I shall keep my countdown going in hope!
… Maybe I should take down that eight-foot banner hanging from the roof of my house with “ZOMGDOCTORWHOSTARTSON3RDOFAPRIL!” painted on it in large blue letters….

Word on the web is it’s still the 3rd as that’s the only Easter/Holy Saturday until next year. If it wasn’t going to be the 3rd, they would’ve put “Spring 2010″
