Series 5 filming set in stone!

February 3rd, 2010

stonehenge-filming-februaryProduction for Series 5 of Doctor Who shifted from its usual backdrop of South Wales in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday) as the cast and crew set up base at Stonehenge in Wiltshire!

And, naturally, scenes for such an historic show being filmed at such an historic monument resulted in a crowd of avid onlookers!

Various websites have today published their own pictures and accounts of the night shoot, which is thought to have been for the series finale!

You can check out exclusive galleries over at the websites for BBC Wiltshire and SFX. Please click the links with caution as there are some pesky spoilers about, especially one rather big one involving (highlight to reveal) Alex Kingston who was pictured on location alongside Matt Smith and Karen Gillan. It’s shaping up to be one heck of a series!

Earlier today, the titles for Episodes 1-3 were revealed by DWM. Stay tuned!

    Is this going to be something like “Stonehenge was created by aliens?” Sounds exciting!

    It’s awkward how most of the Series Five rumours have shaped out to be true. Any chance Steven’s leaking to the newspapers?

    @TSG
    Especially towards the final months of filming :D
