Watch to host Alien Invasion Week

February 6th, 2010

paul-mcgannWatch (Sky 109, Virgin 124) have confirmed that they will hosting their very own Alien Invasion Week later this month!

As its title suggests, the channel will be dedicating one whole week to intergalatic programming delivered to us straight from the stars.

Kicking off on Saturday 13th February, there will, of course, be various repeats of Doctor Who, and the third series of Torchwood, Children of Earth, will also be shown in its 5-night entirety from Monday 15th February at 9PM. The dramatic story will be exclusively introduced by Captain Jack Harkness himself, also known as John Barrowman!

Meanwhile, the 1996 Doctor Who Movie starring Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor will be shown at 10:20PM on Thursday 18th February.

    @pirko

    Hopefully they will show the proper version and not the edited version we had!

    To be honest they didnt cut much from the unedited version. It was only the sound of a broken neck and the gore in the surgery that they cut down on. i think they could show it at an earlier time (say 7pm). Besides no new fans know much about the 8th doctor. its about time they learnt lol

    And the gun fight where the Doctor was shot. It was edited for the UK and a full version was shown in America.
