Author sure that fans ‘won’t be disappointed’
Justin Richards, the writer of various Doctor Who novels and reference books, including Aliens and Enemies (2006) and Martha in the Mirror (2008), has revealed that he has high hopes for the forthcoming series.
He isn’t worried about fans being let down, as he explains to The Coventry Telegraph: “I’ve read scripts for the new series and watched rough versions of some of the episodes in a darkened room in Cardiff. We’re all sworn to secrecy but I’m confident viewers won’t be disappointed.”
He added: “David Tennant was absolutely brilliant but what I have seen of Matt Smith is very good so it will be a very interesting new direction for the show.”
Series 5 is expected to begin on April 3rd. Stay tuned for the latest!

Absolutely cannot wait for the New Series! :D
Hear hear!
I’m actually reading one of his books at the moment, I’m hoping to get through all of the 10th Doctor NSA books, and so far, it’s been pretty good so it’s easier to accept his opinion. As I said to Steve on the other topic, I’m looking forward to the new series of Series 5, but I will need to see a number of episodes before I can form an opinion on Matt Smith, I’m open minded.
@JC
Well of course you need to actually see some episodes to form a proper opinion on Matt Smith, goes without saying. Or at least you’d hope so, there are obviously a lot of ‘fans’ out there moaning and complaining because he’s not Tennant, or because they don’t happen to fancy Matt Smith.
