Oh look, a cover with plastic dull man, wooden top, straight face no personality woman and Matt Smith, the only good actor in the TARDIS this year!

karen gillan is a really bad actress. when she says a line she says it…. no personality, i mean take Cold Blood for example, when amy and nasreen r having a discussion with the silurian, amy puts her head in her arms, now would u picture Rose or Donna doing that. i have always said that karen is a lovely woman but as an actress i dont know. i really hope her character improves, apart from that series 5 was brilliant.

Well ok, Amy isn’t Rose or Donna, and if you were trying to negotiate the future of Earth with a Silurian you would probably get a bit frustrated too. If she were a carbon copy of previous companions we would all complain, wouldn’t we?

I think Karen seems like a lovely person as well; maybe her acting is a bit wooden at times, but compared to some companions in ClassicWho who would look at an alien, scream, and get captured I think she’s pretty good.

at the start of series 5 she was good, but then, i think she just went on a downward slope thats only in my opinion on the subject.

Dude thats what her personallity is meant to be! And if you ask me, i reckon she does it damn well..plus shes hot :P

Also, I find that if I was a companion I’d probably be straight faced. I wouldn’t be amazed ALL the time. Another thing, Amy has had to have psychiatrists through her life so she isn’t fully there in the head. Hat’s off to Karen for playing her, I think she’s a great character, even if she does have many habits such as changing her voice patterns.

Are you sure it’s out on the 22nd? I’m pretty sure the last issue came out about three weeks ago.

Karen has been fine, and yes better than some classic companions for sure. I do find it annoying that she feels like she has to put after saying some lines though. If you dont like karen you are going to have a tough time of it, she will be staying on for at least next year and if the small rumour i heard is to be believed she might be staying for a third year.

im just praying that she improves cos i am not saying she is all bad, she was good in the beast below just certain ways she does things annoy me. maybe its not even karens fault maybe its the way SM writes the character into the story
