A new promotional poster for the forthcoming series of Torchwood has been unveiled today!

As you’ll all know, the 10-part story is entitled Miracle Day and will see C.I.A. agent Rex Matheson - played by Mekhi Phifer - joining forces with Jack and Gwen when, one day on Earth, nobody dies. The poster also confirms that the series will begin airing on Starz in the US from Friday 8th July 2011, however a UK start date is still to be confirmed. Check out the poster below – what do you think?

    Gosh, July. That’s soon. They said the UK date would be the same, or at least very close, didn’t they?

    @TSG
    Supposedly, the UK air date is still going to be Friday 1st July.

    The poster above, however, is awful. Can’t wait to see the official BBC poster (which’ll probably be ten times better and actually have something to do with the series!)

    Yes. Starz Original Series. It’s based off of the BBC Series, but Starz bought Torchwood. OR something like that.

    No. Starz have not bought Torchwood. They are just 1 quarter of the TV bods putting money into it. Torchwood is still mostly a BBC show and this is no reboot, it’s a direct continuation – just the same show.

    Original Series is just the way US networks call any drama that isn’t a soap or reality show. It’s nothing to panic over, and simply helps American audiences understand the type of programming they are about to see.

    Poster could be better but perhaps there will be more to come with that,i do hope that the Starz original series will not be on the uk version of the poster because that would just be taking the p***.Loooking forward to it anyway,just hope its not been too americanised.
