Right. How hard would it be to say: “This summer, a new BBC and Starz co-production”??
It’s not a Starz original drama! Well I guess it’s original for Starz, but still! Hmph.

    Looks intriguing though!

It’s going to tank. You take the British out of it and it’s going to fail. Just look at Dr.who in 96 failed in US hands. Send it back to England.

@ Chris – Uh you are aware it’s produced by RTD and Julie Gardner and half of it was filmed in Wales, right? And they’re already lining up to do Series 5. It’ll do fine.

This is just going to be epic.

But there’s gonna have to be another crossover soon. People don’t just stop dying and The Doctor not know.

yeah it looks good and everything, but its just not the Torchwood I know and love. Oh and if they do make a series 5, I hope that it would involve a new Torchwood team, but still with gwen and jack, in cardiff. After all, somebodys gotta catch them weevils!

RTD is a goddam idiot for selling the Americans Torchwood, BBc partnership has blatently gone out of the window ‘Stars original series’ christ almighty who didnt see it coming.
So so hurt and dissapointed…yeah sure it will be good…but it wont be alien or strange enough like the first 3 series’, it will be pure America CSI Torchwood , all there bloody good for…..ugh

    I sense a “them or us” mentality…

Personally I’m looking forward to TWMD. I loved series 2 and 3 of TW, and I doubt they’d manage to ruin it so entirely as some people seem to believe.

How many shows are going to be stolen by the wild people across the pond????

Torchwood is meant to be a lost old BRITISH organisation….
How long before they completely forget about that I wonder?

Although with it still im RTD’s capable hands im sure it won’t flop considerably, but It most certainly wont be the same

Doesnt stop me being excited though

    TORCHWOODS BACK!!!!!

Starz have done a fantastic job of Spartacus but can they do the same for Torchwood. I have never been a big fan of Torchwood, Series 3 dragged a little in the middle. Is RTD and his team going to be able to keep the pace going for 10 whole episodes for 1 story. I am already put off by Gwen’s childish comment concerning her being Welsh.
The comments by Chris about being british and taking it to america makes no sense really. UK ratings for the 1996 episode were 9.08 million in the uk, beating nearly every episode (all bar 12) since Doctor Who’s return in 2005. And the 1996 episode has had more of an impact on the new series than the original series.
Torchwood will have to pack a punch for me, so I will wait and see to pass to many comments on the trailer.

Dont get me wrong, I love Torchwood and am totaly looking forward to new episodes. However, I am dissapointed about the way Starz has taken it over and that BBC dont seem to be keeping us in the UK updated (considering we still have the COE site not MD site).
Still missing Ianto but the trailer looks so good that I can look past his death as long as MD is still TORCHWOOD if you get me?
Gotta say, I hope Gwen has to lose something this season- she hasn’t lost anything (bar Tosh & Owen) & compared to the loss Jack has had she will soon be resented by people in my opinion. I get that Torchwood was basicaly for cpt. Jack and >Female Lead< (Gwen obv) but still. :(
Also @Steve, Gwen's comment wasn't childish & chill, Wales is only geting mentioned/shown 5% anyway so we have a LOT more to complain about than you on the Wales/America front.
