The West Australia has released a new interview with John Barrowman, during which he speaks of his pride for the new series of Torchwood.

He explains: “It seemed the correct progression to become more epic. Those of us involved with Torchwood – Russell being the father of the ship, Julie the mother, and Jack being the first-born son – we are exceptionally proud of what we have done. We hope audiences are going to love it because we hope there’s going to be more to come.”

Meanwhile, Digital Spy has also released a video interview with John, as well as 10 teasers from the first episode, The New World, which airs on Friday in the US (Starz).

The new series begins in Canada and Australia on 9th July, and in the UK on 14th July.
