Created by former Doctor Who show runner, Russell T Davies, this exciting action-adventure series follows the exploits of school friends Luke, Clyde and Rani, who team up with alien investigator Sarah Jane Smith and her trusty super-computer Mr Smith to examine strange and mysterious events.

This time, Sarah Jane is reunited with another of the Doctor’s former companions, Jo Grant, and they’re joined by the Eleventh Doctor (Matt Smith) in an adventure featuring new vulture aliens and a trip to an alien planet.

The Sarah Jane Adventures will come to an end in the autumn when the three stories filmed before Elisabeth Sladen passed away in April are broadcast in her memory.

I’m hoping they get around to releasing Series Three on Blu-Ray now they are releasing Series Four on it.

@ Adam. They could also release the first two seasons on Blu-ray too. The Blu-ray upgrade of The Next Doctor for the Doctor Who Specials set established the precedent that the early SJA episode (not to mention first 4 seasons of the DW revival) could be upconverted and reissued.

It’s too bad they didn’t hold off, though, with this set and give us a Series 4-5 collection. If there’s only 2 discs for Series 4, there won’t be any extras (I was hoping for the Alien Files); at least adding a 3rd disc for Series 5 would allow them to include the CBBC tribute, which I assume will be included when Series 5 eventually comes out in 2012.
