Entertainment Weekly has today exclusively unveiled a new Doctor Who poster that will be used by BBC America to promote the premiere of Series 6: Part 2!

The 6 remaining episodes of the current series will air in the US (and probably the UK) from Saturday 27th August, and the poster definitely sets us up for the dark times ahead, as it foreshadows that the “past present & future will collide”…

Check it out the epic poster below. What do you think?

    Epic. This is the Doctor Who I love. Plus the fact that River is as important as Amy and Rory. Series 6 – Part 2 can’t come fast enough !

    So “Past, Present and Future will Collide”, huh? So if the future is River (metaphorically speaking), the present is the Doctor trying to find Melody Pond, then I’m guessing the past is perhaps season 5? Will we get some answers to the mysteries surrounding Amy Pond, the girl who waited? Fingers crossed, eh? Love the poster! It seems movie-ish in a way, and if you screwed up your eyes a little you could almost imagine it as a large cardboard stand in your local Empire or Odeon… sigh, one day…

    Woooohooooooo!!!!!!! Just a few more weeks of desperately trying not to click on major spoiler links. ;-) The crack is back, eh? And River is on the opposite side of the Doctor from Rory and Amy; obviously that makes good compositional sense, but this poster seems to imply a more substantial distinction than just “we have to put some on each side”.

    @lewiswatson
    It’ll be 27th August but the BBC won’t announce it until tomorrow (presumably). I take it that the “Past, Present and Future will collide” thing is a reference to the finale what with the pterodactyls and Churchill and Area 52.

    Yep. BBC will release programmes details for w/c: 27th August tomorrow on the BBC Press office site. If Doctor Who is not top of that list then its going to upset a lot of fans as the UK has the right to premiere a UK show first. With BBC America already announced (WEEKS AGO) that their airdate is 27th August. Let’s just hope the UK is on the same day.

    Great poster! If they’ve any sense they’ll release it, I’d have that on my wall like a shot. I really want a poster with the four of them on it.

    @TE
    I’ve also just realised that it relates to a certain scene in that connects this series’ storyline with Series Five’s.

    I can’t help but think the silence will use their electric powers more. Moffat never makes a monster that has unnecessary abilities.
