Critics kill Hitler at BFI’s Series 6: Part 2 screening
It was revealed today that the Doctor will be back where he belongs on BBC One on 27th August, but critics and some lucky fans got to kill Hitler before anyone else last night!
The mid-series premiere was screened at the BFI in London, and the responses to the new episode have been great! The Guardian says it serves as “a strong, standalone, character based story”, and the Mirror (watch out for spoilers in that one!) have also summarised: “Let’s Kill Hitler starts with laughs but ends in tears”. Uh oh!
According to SFX, the episode is nothing short of “dense, surprising, unpredictable” and “bonkers”, while Digital Spy have given their “hats off to Steven Moffat” for delivering “an absolutely dynamite episode”. Elsewhere, Radio Times has a round up of the Q&A with Steven, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill (Matt couldn’t attend as he’s doing this)…
The Whovian buzz also continued across Twitter! Lizo Mzimba described the episode as “a rollercoaster ride and a half”, and Doctor Who Magazine promises “very funny and great dramatic moments”. Tom Spilsbury says its “a very special episode”.
The Guardian’s also posted a new pic of David Walliams as Gibbis in The God Complex.
Plus, here’s a funny video from SFX of Karen and Arthur miming their favourite scenes…

That might be one of the weirdest videos I’ve ever seen connected to Doctor Who. We’ll have to come back to that one after the season ends and see if we can make sense of any of it!
They are sooo good together and Arthur looks hilarious with facial hair, but im assuming thats because of some other work he’s doing
I know it shouldnt but it sort of irritates me that all the freeloading hacks and “showbiz correspondents” get to see these episodes before us real fans.
The loyal are always taken for granted :)
And yes I know it’s so they can write about the ep in their grubby newspapers etc.
Still annoying though!
