Gwen, Rex and Esther are trapped on both sides of the Atlantic, and Jack faces a race against time as he goes to the heart of the conspiracy.

We’ve passed the middle point of the new series, so now it’s time for The Middle Men!

In the latest episode by John Shiban, our team found themselves split up on either side of the Atlantic, but being divided didn’t dampen their determination, and they continued to uncover the true horrors behind the mysterious Miracle. Now they’re one step closer!

Caught up in the midst of the action was Jack (no surprise!), but there were trying times in store for all of our heroes, as the clouded conspiracy deepened. How did they get on?

So, what did you think of Episode 6? Are you still on tenterhooks about where the story is heading, or have you long since lost interest? Are you glad to be back in Wales? Let us know what you loved, hated, and enjoyed a considerable amount, in the comments…

This discussion won’t be monitored for spoilers, so please don’t read any of the comments if you haven’t seen the episode yet. As soon as you have, feel free to let us know your thoughts – and don’t forget to rate the episode too!

Another episode gone and not a single alien. wtf. When I think Torchwood I don’t think shadowy corporation, I think extraterrestrial threat. Come on. If aliens are involved they should have made that somewhat clear from the beginning like they did in Children of Earth.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m am enjoying Miracle Day. But if all this is in fact the doing of some alien in the end, all the new Torchwood viewers are going to think it is total cop out.

    Just following orders….Crimes against humanity….

When it’s just television it’s scary, but when it’s in the newspaper we turn the page.

    @The Parminder Victorious
To be honest, they made it known that there must have been some form of alien intervention (presumably the “Three Families” are the aliens) from the first episode.

Got to say, it wasn’t as good as The Categories of Life, but it was still much, much better than the first four episodes! Feel sorry for Gwen, especially when it didn’t say “We have your father” at the end. Looking forward to next week!

It’s true there are no aliens yet as such, but maybe it’s implied that as it’s Torchwood there will be aliens involved. And as that man from Phicorp said, something big has been planning this for a while and on a massive scale so doesn’t that imply aliens? All the same, I’m with the rest of you and I’d like some alien action!

The triangle logo that shows up on phones and on that female politician’s car screen when she was crushed in the car lot… does it remind anyone else of the Archangel network thing the Master had going on in DW series 3?
OBVIOUSLY the Master isn’t doing anything with Torchwood but perhaps that’s the subtle alien clue in all this? Something is controlling and transmitting around the world?

Aliens? Skip a beat and back up. Re-watch if need be. The aliens have been there/here all along haven’t they?
I am looking forward to seeing how the British handle this episode in current climate.
Gas ovens in TW? the next ep of DW to be called Let’s Kill Hitler?
Part of the ethos in following this TV spin-off and it’s parentage is to read between the lines. Time to think fractal

After more than five hours, it seems Miracle Day is finally beginning to approach being worthy of being called Torchwood.

The violence was turned up a notch, so I felt uncomfortable but also enjoyed found it appropriate. The Director waking up and attacking Esther was a big cliche, they even make fun of such a thing in films such as Scream, but because of that, there was that suspense as you almost knew what was going to happen.

As for the ending, contacting Gwen through her Torchwood contact lenses and giving her instructions, for me and quite weirdly, that might have been one of the best bits so far.

The first four and a bit episodes were quite bland, but it’s clear as we draw closer to the end, things are increasing in speed quite considerably as we approach the climax of the series, which is what I’d expect from Torchwood.

To be honest, I’d expect tonight’s (well, technically it’ll be Saturday morning) episode to slow down a bit as it seems to be a flashback/back-story episode. And I’d expect a lot of complaints from those who complained about the “sex scene” in Dead of Night.
