The Sarah Jane Adventures – new DVD update
The fifth and final series of The Sarah Jane Adventures will be released on DVD on 6th February 2012, and its cover has now been revealed!
The disc features the final trilogy of Bannerman Road tales, the stories Sky, The Curse of Clyde Langer and The Man Who Never Was, which were aired in the autumn in tribute to Elisabeth Sladen, who passed away in April.
Series 5 will also be available to buy on Blu-ray.
On the same day, a complete collection containing Series 1 to 5 will also be released.
All three two-part episodes from the fifth series of the Doctor Who spin-off, created by the award-winning writer, Russell T Davies.
The programme follows the adventures of one of the Doctor’s most famous former companions, investigative journalist Sarah Jane Smith (Elisabeth Sladen), as she faces all manner of alien life-forms and restores Earth’s cosmic balance with the help of her young assistants Clyde (Daniel Anthony), Luke (Tommy Knight) and Rani (Anjli Mohindra).

Loving the red background to end the collection. The show is very missed by me, But I’m hoping to get the complete Series 1-5 Collection rather than a single series box-set.
I notice it doesn’t say “the complete fifth series” :(
Are “Sarah Jane’s Alien Files” available on this or the previous season’s release? I was hoping to have them on DVD as they were like 6 bonus episodes. True, most of the footage was clipped from earlier episodes, but all the footage set in the present was new with scenes of Sarah Jane, Luke, Clyde, Rani & Mr. Smith and references to K9, the Doctor, and even events like those seen in “The Pandorica Opens”.
