Karen takes Manhattan on Thursday 26th January
Karen Gillan will be back on our screens next week as Jean Shrimpton in We’ll Take Manhattan, and she has been busy doing the promotional rounds ahead of its broadcast.
The Guardian has a related feature on the actress, in which she discusses her own experiences of modelling, saying she “never cared about” it as a full time career. She also shares her dreams of journeying into space, before admitting that she’s “relieved” to be leaving Doctor Who. Meanwhile, she is also featured in the latest issue of Radio Times.
We’ll Take Manhattan – directed by John McKay – airs on BBC4 on 26th January at 9pm.

i will have to watch this to see if its n e good
I can imagine she’d be relieved to be leaving after this year. The Doctor Who promotions are nonstop and I’m sure like Billie she’d like to see what life has to offer her beyond the Tardis!
I am definetely gonna check this out. Is it a series or a movie?
This interview is an oldish one, I mean it was taken somewhere around summer, and just corected and published now. The correction includes latest headlines. this “relieved” quote is from Norton’s show where she says ” relieved that I can talk about leaving” NOT relieved to be leaving. she had said many times she doen’t want to leave. She loves doing WHO.
This interview is very not accurate.
