Soap star says villain role would be “ultimate job”
July 13th, 2012
Shaun Williamson has revealed his “ultimate job” would be a guest role in Doctor Who.
The actor – who is best known for playing Barry Evans in the long running BBC soap EastEnders – said in an interview that he aspires to be an alien in the series. “I would love to go on that show,” he explained. “I would like to play a villain that is just me but with an extra head. Also, I could go to all of those conventions and keep making loads of money year after year.”
Not sure thats a good enough reason for wanting to do Dr Who…
I’ve been thinking who I’d like to play the next Doctor and I’m thinking how about Jamie Foreman? He’s appeared in Doctor Who before. I know he’s in EE now and playing his role brilliantly but I think he’d bring something very different to the Doctor or could he play the Master perhaps?

An “East End Gangster Dr” er no…I dont think so ! Besides, the producers of the show would be looking for someone younger who would be able to carry out the more action role that the part has become in recent years.
@Stormageddon
He’d certainly be funny though :P
@Patrick
Maybe but while Dr Who has always been able to poke fun at itself, his casting as the Dr would take the micky WAY to far !
no i didnt like him in eastenders and i wont like him in doctor who as i dont like him full stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
