A Town Called Mercy had its premiere over the weekend, but what has been the reaction to the Western adventure?

The Guardian has praised its writer Toby Whithouse for his “sharp dialogue” while the Telegraph describes the episode as a “powerful morality tale”. The script is “witty and edgy” according to the Independent however Radio Times have suggested it “lacks authenticity” as the reviewer explains: “I don’t believe in it.” The story was “cosily familiar” adds SFX, and Digital Spy says it was “rich with emotion”.
