The Doctor will be facing Dinosaurs on a Spaceship this Saturday but it won’t be his first encounter of the prehistoric reptiles – it’s time to Remember when!
Back in 1974, the Third Doctor, played by Jon Pertwee, and his faithful companion Sarah Jane Smith found themselves caught up in an adventure of primeval proportions.
In the aptly named serial Invasion of the Dinosaurs, London was evacuated as the creatures returned from extinction.
But just who or what was behind their untimely return? See a classic clip from it below…

I know what I’m about to say is HIGHLY controversial in Dr Who Fandom…but hey, its my opinion and I’m entitled to it lol ! So, hold on to your seats…here it comes…get ready now…
I LOVED THIS !!!!!!!
I’ve recently brought the “Unit” box set that has this in it and sat and watched the whole thing in 2 sittings and it was amazing ! Yes the CGI may not have stood the test of time but when you think of the budget they had back then and the other contraints to making the show, they were still very good ! Pertwee was outstanding as the Dr as always and the supporting cast were brilliant !
i have to addmit i didnt like this eipisode of jon pertees for the very clear reasons that the dinos were rubbish looking lol
Gosh, I love the classic episodes so much!!! They’re great when I don’t want to be serious, when I want to watch something silly that will make me laugh, but at the same time is well written and well acted. :)
