Russell on Torchwood future: “I just don’t know”
Russell T Davies has confirmed that he’s “not working on” a new series of Torchwood for the time being.
Speaking on Graham Norton’s Radio 2 show, the writer, who created the Doctor Who spin off, had no updates to deliver about what the future holds for Jack and Gwen. “I just don’t know,” he said. “It might be old news to the BBC when I do get back to it one day. But it’s in a nice limbo at the moment so it can stew there for a while. These shows can come back in 10 or even 20 years time.”
The lead cast have also had their say about the future. Eve Myles has claimed “there is life” in the series as she thinks a film would “draw a line under” the franchise, while John Barrowman’s told WhovianNet he wants his Torchwood book to be adapted for TV.
