New companion Jenna-Louise Coleman is the subject of this feature over at the London Evening Standard!

As well as being pictured looking particularly glamorous, the actress details the audition process which led to her winning the role of the Doctor’s “mysterious” sidekick Clara.

“I didn’t really know anything about Doctor Who, but Steven really liked that,” she explained. “It meant that when I went to audition with Matt Smith I could be more spontaneous.”

Her future in the TARDIS beyond the next series is also referred to, as the report notes that her involvement has been confirmed for the 2013 Christmas Special and Series 8 – in fact she has “a three-month break” whilst Matt Smith films How to Catch a Monster.

And fans of Jenna who also happen to be going to Comic Con this year will be thrilled to hear that Jenna will be in attendance – presumably with Matt in tow! “Yeah, I’m going to Comic Con,” she revealed. “Matt told me last year someone was dressed as a TARDIS!”

Series 7 continues on BBC One from Saturday 30th March – watch the epic trailer here!
