One of the most unusual shows I’ve seen, starting with those bizarre titles and extraordinary music.

Before this, I only knew Mr. Hartnell from his serious and authoritarian army roles so to see him branch out to something different was a surprise.

I’m still not sure why he’s called the Doctor, perhaps they’ll answer that on the next episode. Whilst watching, I was asking myself, Doctor who?

The use of a Police Box for his time machine was quite ingenious, such as good disguise since they’re everywhere and people will believe it’s just a Police Box.

I’m not sure whether it will last long though. The concept is so different and quite strange that it may be too different.

Still, even if this new show is cancelled as so often happens with these things, I’m sure Mr. Hartnell will find another role quickly, perhaps one more suited to the roles the general public know him for.

@JC He lasted 3 Years in this role and made a slight comeback in 1973 in the 3 Doctors

It was a fictional review, as if I was writing a review of the first episode back in 1963, obviously not knowing what it’d go on to become.
