The BBC Two docudrama, written by Mark Gatiss, formed part of Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary celebrations when it was aired last November to critical acclaim. The 90 minute film starred David Bradley as William Hartnell and recreated the story of the show’s journey to the screen in 1963.

It has been nominated in the TV Movie category at the awards, which will take place in New York on 24th November.
