A new rumour has surfaced today suggesting that a guest star who appeared during the 50th anniversary festivities will be returning in this year’s Doctor Who Christmas Special, which starts filming in July.

According to the Mirror (we know, but what’s the harm in speculating?), David Bradley will be reprising his role as the First Doctor to share the screen with Peter Capaldi in his and Steven Moffat’s final episode.

100% unofficial at the moment, but intriguing nonetheless…

Although it probably isn’t true, as most rumours aren’t, I can’t tell you how much I’d love it if it was. I personally thought he was amazing in the part and I think this particular character deserves to be back after so many years.
