Its writer, Phil Ford, has said: “We’re going to end Series One with an enormous splash. The episode is set entirely underwater. Which is great because it’s been one of my ambitions to have the Doctor and Amy threatened by a fifty-foot shark-like monster – and thanks to the magic of the computer games, that ambition is fulfilled.”
In their review, they are full of praise for the interactive episode of the series, labelling Phil Ford’s story as the “most ambitious instalment yet”, while drawing particular attention to its “larger setting and multiple threats”. They finish by noting that the game serves as a “fitting end to such an enjoyable series”. We can’t wait to play it for ourselves!

Phil Ford recently took part in an interesting interview with LastBroadcast, in which he covers all things Sarah Jane – including the latest Series 5 developments!
Regarding Matt Smith’s forthcoming appearance in the Series 4 Death of the Doctor story, the writer admitted that, while it posed as a “great opportunity” for Sarah Jane to meet the new Doctor, he would be ”wary of him coming back too much”. He added: “Having said that, I’m sure he’ll be back again some time. I hope we see Jo again, too.”
He also briefly mentioned how work on the spin off’s fifth series, to air in 2011, is getting on, promising that its stories will be “corkers”. “Series Four has been great, but wait til you get a load of Series Five,” he teased. “Oh, boy! Next time round we really go for it!”
The current series continues weekly on the CBBC Channel on Mondays and Tuesdays at 5:15PM, with repeats on BBC One on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 4:30PM.
Meanwhile, in an exclusive blog for the BBC, Phil has promised that Series 4 of The Sarah Jane Adventures will make us “laugh, cry and hide behind the couch.”

Today it has been annnounced that the BBC will be bringing us more Doctor Who Adventure Games next year!
As MCV reports, Sumo Digital will be developing another batch of the interactive episodes for release throughout 2011, once again starring Matt Smith and Karen Gillan as the Doctor and Amy Pond! The article also suggests that the first 3 games – City of the Daleks, Blood of the Cybermen and TARDIS – have so far been downloaded over 1.6million times.
Head of BBC multiplatform, Simon Nelson, said: “It’s not just about the numbers; the feedback we’ve had has been overwhelmingly positive. Our audience has been introduced to a new form of drama – and, for many, these have been the first computer games they have downloaded. We’ve set new standards in audience participation – and we think we’ve really helped push the concept of families actively playing together. I can’t wait to see what the team does next.”
