All week, we’ve been taking a trip down memory lane ahead of Amy and Rory’s finale in The Angels Take Manhattan tonight, and we’ve reached the final leg of our journey…

But which of the Ponds’ many moments have YOU chosen as your favourite memory? Well – rather fittingly – at the end of their era, we’re going straight back to the start, as you have picked the opening moments of The Eleventh Hour, as when the TARDIS crashed in Amelia’s garden, it was the start of something special – the ultimate Pond Moment!

Back then nobody could’ve predicted that the Doctor and Amy would go on to have such an impact on each other’s lives, but looking away from all the monsters, adventures and timey-wimeyness, it all began over a meal of ice cream… and fish fingers and custard…

Tomorrow night we’ll be saying goodbye to the Ponds, but before they pop off, we have been taking a fond look back at their most memorable moments – as voted for by you!

Taking the title of the penultimate ultimate best bit is one of their more iconic scenes. This cliffhanger ending to A Good Man Goes to War (2011) put to rest years of speculation surrounding River Song’s true identity, and at the same time opened up a whole new can of worms about who – or what – she was. Typical Steven Moffat then, really.

Our celebration of the mighty Pond era is well underway as we gear up for The Angels Take Manhattan – and taking the third spot is a classic Rory moment from Series 6.

Amy and Rory’s 2011 adventures were as unpredictable and dramatic as a dinner date with a Dalek, and by the time the mid-series finale had arrived, Amy had been kidnapped to give birth to a half human/half Time Lord psychopath bent on destroying the Doctor. No biggy! Luckily for her, her devoted Lone Centurion was on the case!

Our countdown of Amy and Rory’s best moments – as voted for by you lovely lot – continues today… so let’s see what’s made it to fourth place shall we?

Everybody loves a wedding, especially one that’s been more than 2,000 years in the making! The fifth series ended in a good old fashioned knees-up when Amy and Rory *finally* tied the knot in The Big Bang. We were cordially invited to their happy day, but there was one raggedy guest missing – and the party don’t start ’til the Doctor walks in! Fact.

When the universe was reset, the Doctor was pulled out of existence – but if something can be remembered, it can come back. So his return all rested on The Girl Who Waited. Her reception realistion made for one of the Ponds’ most memorable moments to date…

This weekend we’ll be bidding a very tearful farewell to Amy and Rory, but we don’t want to get all bogged down in angst just yet, and we’re sure you don’t either!

If you didn’t know already at WhovianNet we love love LOVE nostalgia (see our many Remember When discussions for more), so we’re spending the Ponds’ final days looking back at their most iconic scenes for which they’ll be remembered. Your votes have helped us determine their Top 5 Moments – so let’s get this show on the road! What’s in at #5?

Well, kicking off the proceedings is this memorable moment from the two-part US story, which set the bar for last year’s epic series. In Day of the Moon, Amy was kidnapped by the Silence – leaving it down to the Doctor and Rory to rush to her aid. She could still communicate to them via her nanorecorder, but which of her boys was she calling for…?

As the finale of this year’s series of Doctor Who approaches (already!?), it means it’s almost time to face another end.

They’ve been keeping the Doctor on his toes since 2010, but after all the cracks, deaths and doppelgangers, it is hard to believe that now just two episodes of the Pond era remain.

After their penultimate story airs on Saturday, we’ll be faced with a long week of anticipation as we prepare for their final outing in the long-awaited The Angels Take Manhattan

…but we’ll be here to make those 7 days a tad more bearable, as we plan to spend their final week reliving some of the highs and lows (but mostly the highs) of their turbulent – but generally superb – time in the TARDIS. And we need your help to get things started!

So, to get the ball rolling, please share all your favourite Amy and Rory moments in the comments. It can be a particular scene or a quote, a specific episode – anything at all from their tenure that sticks out in your mind. We will pick a handful of your suggestions and open up a poll straight after The Power of Three on Saturday night to determine their Top 5 moments, all of which we’ll feature on the site over the course of next week.

You can also tweet us your best memories @WhovianNet. Don’t let yours be forgotten!
