The official Doctor Who website has just confirmed that a brand new 60-second preview of the upcoming special, The Waters of Mars, will debut on BBC One tonight!
Although they don’t give us a specific time to tune in and catch the trailer, it’s thought that it will air either before or after this evening’s episode of Waterloo Road, which starts at 8:00PM.
If you miss it, don’t worry, because it’ll be uploaded online tomorrow morning, but if you are lucky enough to catch it, feel free to come back here afterwards and share your thoughts!

According to TV Tonight, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation have secured the rights to air the next Doctor Who special, The Waters of Mars, just three weeks after its debut in the United Kingdom.
The long-awaited adventure is due to air on ABC1 on Sunday 6th December, which also means that Australian fans will get the episode before the US, as it was confirmed last week that the episode will air on BBC America at the slightly later date of Saturday 19th December.
With Halloween now done and dusted for another year, a new month begins, and so does our countdown for the next Doctor Who special, The Waters of Mars!
Our main site has been removed of all pumpkin-like qualities and updated with a fresh banner for the upcoming episode, and there’s also a a countdown so you can watch the remaining days, hours, minutes and seconds melting away before your very eyes – we never could resist a ticking clock!
The adventure, which will have its long-awaited debut on Sunday 15th November at 7:00PM on BBC1 and BBC HD, sees the TARDIS materializing on Mars in the year 2059, but the head of Bowie Base One, Captain Adelaide Brooke, is far from impressed by the Doctor’s uninvited appearance. However, they soon find themselves under attack from a deadly water-based threat, and the Time Lord encounters troubles much closer to home…

Following on from the announcement of the UK transmission date for the next Doctor Who special, The Waters of Mars, BBC America have confirmed that they’ll be airing the episode on Saturday December 19th at 9:00PM ET/PT.
Meanwhile, the Tenth Doctor’s remaining two specials, his regeneration two-parter, will air on the channel over the holiday season, although exact details are still to be finalised.

It’s been a busy old day for Doctor Who fans! After months of next to no news, fandom has been inundated throughout the course of the morning and afternoon with lots of information and teasers regarding the next Doctor Who special, The Waters of Mars!
Not only were we told the transmission date (which is Sunday 15th November, if you didn’t know already), but the long-awaited episode also recieved its press screening in London – and its reviews are oh so good!

The transmission date for the next long-awaited Doctor Who special, The Waters of Mars, has finally been confirmed!
Actor David Tennant announced during his GMTV interview this morning that the episode will have its official debut on BBC One and BBC HD on Sunday 15th November at 7:00PM!
It’s thought that the next instalment of the Tenth Doctor’s final chapters, which will see the Time Lord arriving on Bowie Base One on Mars in the year 2059, has been pushed back to Sunday to avoid a ratings clash with the X Factor over on ITV1.
And the press screening for the episode, which guest-stars Lindsay Duncan as Adelaide, the Doctor’s ‘cleverest and most strong-minded companion yet’, is due to take place later today in London!
So, without much further ado, let the countdown commence! A big thanks to everybody who let us know!
Ahead of tomorrow’s press launch, DigitalSpy have released a wave of brand spanking new stills from the next Doctor Who special, The Waters of Mars, which is due to air mid-November on BBC1 and BBC HD!
The images depict the Flood in various stages of, erm… ‘wetness’, and there’s also some great action shots of the Doctor and his new companion, Adelaide, doing what the Doctor and his companion do best!
And as we edge ever closer to the big day, expect lots of new information and teasers to trickle out over the coming weeks…
With the episode now locked and ready for transmission, the official advanced press screening for the upcoming Doctor Who special, The Waters of Mars, is due to take place in London tomorrow (Friday)!
BBC News Entertainment Correspondent Lizo Mzimba is one of the lucky select few who have been invited to attend the event, which will also include a question and answer session with the cast and crew, including Tenth Doctor actor David Tennant.
And although an airdate for the episode is yet to be confirmed, it’s thought that it will debut on our screens on the evening of Saturday November 14th.
As reported yesterday, Russell T Davies and Elisabeth Sladen appeared on BBC Breakfast this morning to promote this week’s instalment of The Sarah Jane Adventures (part one airs today on BBC1/BBC HD at 4:35PM!), and an unexpected surprise came in the form of a BRAND NEW clip from the next Doctor Who special, The Waters of Mars!
The preview follows on directly from the clip that was released on the official site back in July.
The episode is due to air next month and will guest-star Lindsay Duncan as Adelaide, who has been described as the Doctor’s ‘cleverest and most strong-minded companion’ yet.

SFX have posted online a preview of their interview with Graeme Harper, the director of the next anticipated Doctor Who special, The Waters of Mars.
Harper talks about what it was like working with huge volumes of water on set, whether or not he thinks the episode pushes the boundaries of Saturday night family teatime viewing, and how the Doctor will act when he realises he’s one step closer to his regeneration this Christmas…
