He talked about what the future holds for Torchwood, saying he’d “be back at the drop of a hat”. “I love Captain Jack, and me and Eve are like brother and sister on set. We have a great time together,” he said. “Jack’s an iconic figure. He’s a hero. Wherever I am, as long as it works out in my schedule, I will come back. At the end of Miracle Day there’s a cliffhanger, so who knows what will happen?”
He went on to discuss his hopes to be involved in Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary next year, admitting: “It would be a shame if Captain Jack wasn’t there. He was such a big figure and presence within the show itself, and also within Torchwood. But it’s not up to me. It’s just one of those things. I guess you’ll have to sit back and watch this space.”

Today, it is one year since Elisabeth Sladen passed away.
Although she is gone, she is certainly not forgotten, and she still lives on in our hearts as one of the Doctor’s most loved companions, Sarah Jane Smith. Joining the series in 1973, Elisabeth’s adventures through time and space went on to span decades, and they are are sure to continue on in our memories for decades to come. In 2007, she was introduced to a new generation in The Sarah Jane Adventures, proving life on Earth can be just as exciting.

In a new interview with Radio Times Eve Myles briefly talks about what she enjoys most about playing the part of Gwen Cooper in Torchwood.
“She’s a full-on action hero, and I get to do all that fun stuff because I do all my own stunts,” she explains. “I also get to do great domestic scenes, because I am a married woman with a baby. So I get to save the world and be the girl next door. So the mix there is wonderful.” She also reveals she’d love to be in Sherlock, describing the series as “really hot”.
