TARDIS To Get Makeover For Series 5?

March 2nd, 2009

tardisThe Mirror reports that the TARDIS interior is currently being redesigned to tie in with the arrival of Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor in 2010.

The report claims that BBC bosses have given the green light for the Who production team to give the set a “radical” new overhaul in time for the new series. The new design will also enhance the quality of the police box exterior, after it was feared the ”flaws” of the current designs would show on screen now the programme has switched to being filmed in high definition.

“It will be the most hitech, intricate TARDIS ever,” a source told the newspaper. And according to other reports, the new interior design will be “funked” up, and the “edges smoothed”.

I think this will be a good idea. It will give the younger viewers a good, futuristic appearence of the TARDIS. I think it’s time for a change anyway, they’ve got a new theme tune,a new Doctor,so it’s only fair there should be a new TARDIS design!!

So long as they do it well (and they will) I’m happy. It’s like the new Doctor. So many people are being stubborn, but I’m just happy so long as he’s good. Which he will be, because he was chosen by the Moff.
