The BBC have released a brand new 10 second teaser trail for the anticipated third series of Torchwood - Children of Earth.

The short but sweet trailer will get its TV debut in Australia later today, as Series 2 finishes its run Down Under, and the programme’s official website have also treated fans in the UK to the preview, which definitely isn’t lacking in creepy children…

Children of Earth picks up on the Torchwood team - Jack Harknes, Gwen Cooper and Ianto Jones - as they still struggle to come to terms with the death of two of their closest friends, Toshiko Sato and Owen Harper. But there’s no time to grieve properly, because they still have an important job to do, and this time they’re faced with their fiercest threat to date, as children all over the world stop moving and playing and laughing. As one, they begin to speak with the same voice, announcing the imminent arrival of a new alien threat. Torchwood’s future, and the entire human race, is thrown into danger, but can the trio battle the odds to save the whole of mankind?

Torchwood: Children of Earth will air over five nights on BBC One and BBCHD in June.
