The BBC Press Office has finally confirmed the airdate for this year’s Doctor Who Easter special, Planet of the Dead.

The episode will transmit on BBC One and BBC HD on Saturday 11th April 2009 at 6:45pm, and has a running time of 60 minutes.

The first trailer for the episode appeared on BBC HD earlier today, and a second will play out on BBC One at 8.55pm tonight, before The Apprentice.
