Guess who’s coming to Bannerman Road…

doctor_sarahjane_series3_sja_promo_fullSeries 3 of The Sarah Jane Adventures will see Sarah Jane and her friends joining forces with the Tenth Doctor when the TARDIS arrives on Bannerman Road.

It has been confirmed that David Tennant will be making a guest appearance in the CBBC series, meaning the Time Lord will be reunited with his old friend, Sarah Jane, as well as everybody’s favourite metal dog - K-9!

And it won’t be just a quick cameo either; the Doctor will be sticking around for two whole episodes, thought to be episodes 5 and 6, to help Sarah Jane, Luke, Clyde, Rani and K-9 do battle with their greatest enemy yet!

“When I heard the news that David was going to be joining us I was absolutely over the moon. Not only has it made my day but it will also make the viewers’ day,” said Elisabeth Sladen. “It’s fantastic news that Sarah Jane is going to spend some time working with The Doctor again and is testament to just how successful this CBBC series is.”

But as we’ve come to expect by now, the episodes and their content are being kept tightly under wraps, but we have been told that the story is written by Gareth Roberts.

“Viewers thought they may have to wait until November for the next full episode of Doctor Who, but this is an extra special treat,” SJA creator, Russell T Davies, added. “And it’s not just a cameo from David - this is a full-on appearance for The Doctor as he and Sarah Jane face their biggest threat ever.”

Series 3 of The Sarah Jane Adventures will introduce fans to a brand new alien race, a reptilian species known as the Veil, but they’ll be joined by their enemies, the Judoon. We’ll also meet an extraterrestrial girl that can make people play games against their own will, as well as a living painting, the inhabitants of a supposedly haunted house, and monsters who want to infect Earth with a strangely aggressive weed. And will Sarah Jane Smith find personal happiness when she meets someone who could be the perfect person to complete her family?

I love SJA, despite being sixteen. It’s not something I’d admit at school. My twelve-year-old sister has her misgivings about this piece of news. She says that she feels the ‘point’ of SJA is that the Doctor *isn’t* there. The stories are about who takes over when he’s elsewhere. So this isn’t SJA for her, this is just DW, and she’s a bit disappointed.

    Me? I’m happy! More DT!!
