Introducing… The Christmas Project!

September 2nd, 2009

christmas_projectWe’re delighted to announce that today we’ve launched a brand new project: The Christmas Project!

In a nutshell, with the Tenth Doctor’s final episodes on their way, we’ve decided to create a scrapbook over the next few months which we plan to send to David Tennant himself at Christmas (hence the name), to basically thank him for all his hard work, commitment and dedication to the show over the past four years, and to wish him the very best of luck for the future!

Obviously, we can’t do it all by ourselves, and our aim is to fill the scrapbook with messages to the actor from Doctor Who fans from all over the world. It can be anything - just a quick ‘thank you!’ message, a photograph, a piece of fan art, or all three! We would absolutely love for the Internet community of Who fans to contribute and to come together to give David the send-off he deserves!

So, if you’re interested in contributing something, you can find out the all-important details over at our new mini-section devoted solely to the purposes of the project - click here!

    Yay, I’ve contributed! Though I doubt many compilers would actually go for a 3,140 word entry…

    Hi !
    I’m very interested by this project
    With a few fiends we have created a French forum about David Tennant and I will spread the word there and on the DW French website too ^^

    Where is it that we can post the message/ fanarts ?
    And also is it possible to post a video ? (I don’t think so but since I have made one covering all the confi and diary clips of DT in a video ^^)

    Thank you for quick reply ^^
    And good luck with the project =D

    @Cynthia

    Thanks for your comments, Cynthia! All the details you need for the project can be found here, but as all of the contributions will end up in a scrapbook, we can’t accept videos. However, messages and fan art are a definite yes!

    Thanks again, and if you’ve got any questions, feel free to let us know at [email protected].

    Ok ^^
    I must be very stupid but I don’t find where we can send our messages
    Is it somewhere on the website or do we send them by email or something ?
    I’m really sorry for bothering you :s

    @admin
    Sorry, I’ve got a question too, wondering when the deadline is? And whether or not you’ve accepted my entry (because as I said earlier, it’s a bit long for a scrapbook…).

    @TSG

    The deadline will be at the start of December, but we’ll have an exact date closer to the time. Don’t worry, your entry has been recieved and accepted!

I’m sure I will enjoy your last 2 episodes over the Xmas & New Year period. It will be sad to see you go and all the best for whatever you do next
