Wake Me Up When September Ends…
September has arrived, and although it’s been widely regarded that this month would bring with it the launch of the brand new series of The Sarah Jane Adventures, it has now been confirmed that the eagerly anticipated third series won’t be hitting our screens until October!
Both the first and second series of the Doctor Who spin off began airing in the Septembers of 2007 and 2008, but the BBC have decided to break the tradition for 2009 so that the Tenth Doctor’s appearance in episodes 5 and 6 ties in with the next Doctor Who special, The Waters of Mars, which is due to transmit in November.
And there are already potential launch dates flying around, with Thursday October 15th sounding the most plausible at the moment. If true, it would mean that the show will also be moving from its established Monday afternoon time slot.
But worry not, Sarah Jane fans, because we’ll be here throughout the coming weeks bringing you all the up-to-the-minute news, trailers and promos as we wait for the new series to grace our screens, and don’t forget to check out our SJA mini-site for the very latest!
Aw,shame. I was really looking forward to it!
Yeah same here. I hope we get to see some teaser trailers though. Thursday seems a bit of a gamble evening to do it. I would personally think it would do better on a Friday afternoon
