‘Ello ‘ello ‘ello!
The cast and crew are back on the streets of Cardiff this week as production for Series 5 of Doctor Who continues, and both Matt Smith and Karen Gillan have been spotted filming scenes from what is thought to be their first episode together.
Smith was seen on location wearing the Tenth Doctor’s beloved suit (and a rather dashing tie!), however it appeared to be a lot more battered than it ever was back when it was being worn by his previous incarnation! His shirt and trousers were covered in rips - maybe as a result of his latest regeneration?
Meanwhile, Gillan, who will take on the role of the Eleventh Doctor’s companion, was pictured kitted up in a policewoman’s outfit. So Amy Pond works for the force? Perhaps she’s undercover? Or maybe the Doctor has simply interrupted a fancy dress party she was attending? Only time will tell!

Oooooooh I saw these photographs on the SFX website. I feel slightly sad to see Matt in David’s gear, but I’m sure I’ll grow to like him jus as much as I do David. And in terms of Amy, does anyone else think that this confirms she is from the present day? The police uniform is modern, but I was hoping she’d be from the sixties. Oh well.
I am the exact same as Dan. I don’t want Matt in Davids suit. I have taken to matt but I can’t take this. I think I might cry when I see him. People have said it is actually set in 1995 so don’t know if true ??

I actually cried when I saw this picture … Sure I knew the 11th Doctor was coming … but to see him in the suit … well it just broke my heart. Not to mention the rips and tears, it means we are in for something traumatic.
A solemn moment. Let us mark its passing with… excitement. Sorry to ruin the mood, but I think it’s brilliant. It makes the connection between Ten and Eleven so tangible and… there. The thereness of it is brilliant. Thereness. That should be a word. Say it, go on. Theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeereness.
