New Doctor Who logo to be revealed tomorrow morning!

doctor-who-logo-diamondThe BBC’s official Doctor Who website has confirmed that they’ll be unveiling the show’s BRAND NEW logo at 8:00AM tomorrow morning!

The revamped logo, which they promise will be ’stylish, fresh, distinctive and bold’, will be used throughout 2010 for all things Series 5, which is currently being filmed in Cardiff and will star Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor and Karen Gillan as his companion, Amy Pond.

It’ll feature on the opening titles for each episode, and it’ll also be plastered over the programme’s ever-growing line of merchandise.

The announcement of the new logo marks the first time it has been given a redesign since the series returned to our screens back in 2005, and it was inevitable that it would be getting an update to coincide with the introduction of the new Doctor. And his new companion. Oh, and the new head writer too. New new Doctor Who!

So, you know the all-important address! Pop over to the official Doctor Who website at 8:00AM GMT tomorrow morning to see the Doctor Who Series 5 logo, and after you’ve seen it, come and join in with our logo discussion, which should be up by 8:05AM GMT. See you then, folks!

    Arghhhhh!!!!! OMG!!!! :D New logo! Oh, I am sooooo looking forward to this - I have confidence it will be brilliant, and at the same time do justice to the show! I wonder if it means a complete re-vamped logo, or just a large variation on the Series 1-4 one? OMG!!!! New New Doctor Who! lol

    Awww i like the logo they use now :( I know it is inevitable that we will get a new logo but I wonder if it will top the current one in the title sequence

    they are making all this fuss over a logo. I hope it doesn’t change too much and it is a fun logo and maybe it will tell us about the series

    I love it… I think it’s brilliant. A definate nod back to the classic era of Who… And the DW insignia is devine! Although I hope they don’t use that part in the show… Just my opinion though… I really really like it. New New Doctor Who!
