I liked the graphics, but the microphones really needed to be turnt up! Seriously, could not hear some of the vocals due to the loud music.
The ending was quite strange, the Ood? Hmmmm, I wonder what it could all meen…

I really, really enjoyed this episode.
All the way through i had a strange feeling in my stomach and the scenes built up tension very well. I thought that it wasn’t the scariest episode, but it was very thrilling. And the “NEXT TIME” was extremely epic. I mean, the masters back, donnas back. hmmm epic finale and send off of David Tennants doctor.I cannot wait until Christmas day!

Brilliant, epic, fantastic, emotional… Just sensational. The hour flew by and there were some amazing moments. The Dalek bit was genius and really chilling, and the bit with the Ood was strange but a bit scary… Also the Doctor seems to be turning darker… perhaps he’s afraid of dying. He was so scared when the Ood turned up…

But yeah. Top stuff.

That was by far the best episode, just 40 days till christmas. The last 5 mins of the episode was brilliant, he now defintly knows he nearing his end and a possible regeneration is nearing. The dalek part was very well thought of and that it knew she was fixed. Now I can’t wait to see all the companions, Rose, Jack, Donna, Martha, Sarah-Jane all at the doctor’s last moment. Also in the trailer i saw that the master morphed from himself to what i thought was his 13th incarnation. The next two specials are going to be brilliant.

Ohh I forgot to mention, like The-oncomingstorm said, The Doctor was a lot deeper and darker than ever before! good stuff

Doctor Who-do-you-think-you-are? near the end. Power corrupts, and ultimate power is pretty hard to resist, even for the doctor. Interesting to know that despite his attempts to change the course of history, he managed to change just one word (Mars to Earth).

Noticed all the flaming bits and pieces after that explosion? Didn’t know Mars had an oxygenated atmosphere…

The best Doctor Who episode in a long while. The deaths of Steffi and Adelaide were very well written and the Doctor’s crossing the line was unexpected.

But THE MASTER IS BACK!!!!!

I thought that episode was just amazing! It just had everything! Scary water zombies, a funny robot, and a new side of The Doctor that we have never seen (and I might say that at the end we he totally changed and was arrogant and scared, he was more frightning than the monsters!) The little clip of the Dalek was a great touch, and I just thought it was so sad when despite all his efforts his companion made the decision herself. And what tops it all off is the wonderful preview we were given of the xmas episode! What can I say? It was all just gorgeous!

Great episode and Davids performance was fantasically dark and ever so slightly menacing,just for a moment there i didnt like him until ood sigma turned up and pricked his concsience-perhaps it will be along the lines of a christmas carol with a few ghosts cropping up…..mmmm perhaps not

I too mixed feelings about this episode. Again, like Planet of The Dead, it didn’t feel especially special to me throughout, feeling more like an episode you’d see in the middle of a Season.

That’s not to say it was a bad episode, just nothing…….mind-blowing, shall we say.

Saying that, I enjoyed the episode fine enough and if there was one thing I thought was special, it was at the end. What with the Doctor losing the plot a bit, probably to do with the fear of his end, and then the Captain taking her own life to somewhat repair the time line, I have to admit those were two new things that I thought were good.

So yeah, while it was a good Doctor Who episode, it wasn’t a Doctor Who Special……….I think for that, we’re gonna have to wait for Christmas

Sorry for the second post, but I had to mention something else, the inclusion of the Dalek and reference back to the end of Season 4 was amazing, to see a Dalek actually turn away from someone and spare their life, that was special………..so yes, special moments, not-so-special episode in my own opinion, but good enough

Every human dies - so if the Dalek spared Adalaid as they knew she was supposed to die on Mars, then how comes they kill everyone else, even know they would know how that person would die in the future?

A fantastic episode! I was very impressed with how dark and complex it actually was.I was moved by how the doctor walked away while the others were dying on the base. The end doctor scared the hell out of me when he became a more cocky “I am THE timelord” doctor and it was great how adelaide pulled him up about it. I thought it was a really good turn for the doctor and now it adds to his ending.

Very very brave decision to have adelaide kill herself to preserve history. Most likely some will like it, some will find it controversial but it worked for the story by making the doctor realise just how powermad he can be.

The trailer was fantastic! it was good to get a brand new trailer and not the one from the comic con (although some clips were the same)I cannot wait for xmas! Only critique I have for the episode though was there were no gags really, which i missed. and the tribute before the trailer was rushed and should have been held off until after the credits.

Terrifying.

WOW!!! Just WOW !!! If this doesn’t cement David Tennant’s Status as one of the best actors on Television nothing will … I actually feel sick after watching it, which I think is the purpose … that sense of dread …. WOW !!!

The finale isn’t Christmas, it’s NEW YEARS!

I’m still in shock at the pure brilliance. Excellent performances all round, but hats off to David Tennant for not only bringing something new to The Doctor; but for being able to scare me, a long time viewer, in revealing a whole new side to The Doctor. I think that for the children viewing, they’d be frightened by the concept of The Doctor walking away; I think that this episode is truly The Doctor’s darkest hour: now just the long wait until Christmas. 10/10

Amazing episode, much better than I thought it would be. Complex, dark and great performances by David and Lindsay.

Some amazing scenes, especially the one when The Dcotor was in the airlock. Utterly compelling.

Just heard that overnight ratings were 9.1m - a great figure, higher than POTD.
