UPDATED: New Waters of Mars trailer to air tonight!

November 4th, 2009

waters-explosionThe official Doctor Who website has just confirmed that a brand new 60-second preview of the upcoming special, The Waters of Mars, will debut on BBC One tonight!

Although they don’t give us a specific time to tune in and catch the trailer, it’s thought that it will air either before or after this evening’s episode of Waterloo Road, which starts at 8:00PM.

If you miss it, don’t worry, because it’ll be uploaded online tomorrow morning, but if you are lucky enough to catch it, feel free to come back here afterwards and share your thoughts!

UPDATE: The trailer has aired on BBC One! Check it out here!

    Thanks for the link Dan. THE TRAILER IS AWESOME! Can’t wait for the waters of mars. By the way, has anyone else noticed that THE WATERS OF MARS also spells out WARS OF THE MASTER. Coincidence seeming as though the master is in the the final of the Tenth Doctor’s journey???

    I thought it was a great trailer, and the CGI bits were FANTASTIC! :)

    @Dan

    Sorry Dan, but we had to delete the link you posted in your comment because it hasn’t officially been made available to watch online yet, so technically that’s breaking the rules! As soon as it has aired on TV (which should be pretty soon…) and been posted on the official site, it’ll be back up!

    Haha. Thanks. It’s going to be sad to see David go.

    This looks just amazing! It does look quite a bit darker than we are used to seeing on Who but that will probbaly make it better if anything! That quote at the end “You will die” was so chilling! Bring on 15th November!

    @Dan

    The trailer was added to the official site earlier, however that link wasn’t intended to go public until after its debut on TV.

    Fantastic! I love that shot of the TARDIS. The “water” effect on the logo andtitle is great also.

    I loved the trailer and it is certainly darker than any previous episode and looks ten times better than the last special. However what did she say to the doctor before he said “you will die today”. the audio was a bit muffled…:(

    Oh my goodness. I love that last bit. Very dark, and I love that they’re playing/not playing with timelines. This is what time travel is about! Inevitablity, flux, paradoxes, fate, all that sort of stuff. Wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey! I love it when Doctor Who plays with time. Best example being Girl in the Fireplace, for me.

    While this trailer didn’t fascinate me that much, the new teaser trailer is much more appealing, even listing dates such as that of the Base’s destruction and how many survivors there were.
