Cast and crew spill the beans at press screening!
Last night, part one of The End of Time was officially launched in Studio 8 at the BBC Television Centre in London, and various members of the Doctor Who cast and crew were at the event to take questions from the press.
“I’m very proud of these two episodes,” Russell T Davies said. ”Now I simply feel really happy with what we made. It’s the end for us, but not the end for Doctor Who.”
The outgoing showrunner teased: “We’ve got one or two surprises in store before the episode on New Year’s Day, and it might not be quite what you expect.”
“I feel so delighted that I was even part of a bit of it, let alone to have been a companion,” Catherine Tate (Donna) added. ”But to be in David’s last two episodes - that’s a real honour.”
John Simm (The Master) continued: “The Master’s even more insane than before. There was no limit in the script to how insane he should be. It was a lot of fun to do.”
Part one of The End of Time is now just one short week away, and it will have its nationwide debut next Friday (Christmas Day) at 6:00PM on BBC One/HD. Over the next few days, the media will be bursting to the brim with all sorts of related content, so we advise you to steer clear from all websites and newspapers that are carrying their own End of Time reviews/features. We’ve come too far to have details spoiled now!
